Query Distribution Statistics in Materialized View Selection

研究了在系统运行过程中统计查询分布的方法,分析了直接统计时可能遇到的困难,为此提出了查询泛化的方法,并给出查询泛化的两种算法,对将实视图选择理论用于数据仓库工程实践有一定的参考价值。

This paper studies the method of query distribution statistics during working time, analyzes the possible difficulties of direct method, then presents a method called query generalization, puts forward two algorithms of query generalization, which can serve as a reference for utilizing the MVS theory to design data warehouse in practice.
