基于电源树分布RLC模型估计同步切换噪声

Switching Noise Estimation on P/G Networks Based on Distributed RLC Model

摘要 在超深亚微米 ( VDSM)工艺下 ,器件频繁的同步切换可在电源 /地分配网络上形成大开关电流 ,影响VLSI的可靠性和信号完整性。文中提出一种估计电源树同步切换噪声的解析方法 :利用事件驱动机制、节点重组及参数重编号技术建立切换电流传播路径 ,以二极点模型近似切换电流非线性传递过程 ,简化噪声提取程序。 Under VDSM techno logy, higher device densities and faster switching speed can cause large switchi ng current that degrades the performance and reliability of a design. Robust P/G networks become one of the most importa nt factors to ensure performance, reliab ility and signal integrity of the circui ts. An RLC-based approach for estimating simultaneous switching noi se through supply lines is presented. To simplify, event-driven mechanism, node regrouping and parameter recoding are us ed to set up the path for transmitting switching currents to the destination. S imulation results show the feasibility a nd efficiency of our method.
