中国电信市场的开放加剧了国内新老电信运营商之间的竞争,并在中国孕育出一个高速增长的宽带网络市场,国内所有的运营商都期待宽带数据网络能够带来丰厚的利润。根据中国铁通重庆分公司在城域宽带网络建设中的经验教训,简要介绍了适合其自身发展的宽带网络盈利模式,然后详细讨论了软交换在宽带网络中的应用,最后肯定了以软交换技术为核心的宽带数据应用的发展前景。

The opening of Chinese telecom market increases the competition between new-uprising and existed telecom operators and cultivates a fast increasing broadband network market in China. All Chinese operators are expecting the rich benefit brought by broadband data network. Based on the experience of Chongqing Branch of China Railcom in the construction of broadband MAN, profit mode for broadband network that can adapt to its development is introduced. Then, application of softswitch in broadband network is discussed in detail. Finally, development foreground for the application of broadband data based on the soft switch technology is affirmed.
