The evolving background of the ISO 14000 series standards,the simple situation o f the five issued standards,the internat ional standards being drafted out by ISO /TC207 and their developing trend were e xpounded in this paper.The function and significance for implement of ISO 14000 series standards,as well as the principl e and plan for pushing the ISO 14000 ser ies standards in our country were introd uced.The relation between the ISO 14000 series standards and ISO 9000 clan stand ards was analyzed.
