This paper reports for the first time that the Chinese white wax scale has 18 chromso-mes (2n = 18) in early embryo cells. Gradually, half of 18 chromosomes become heterochro-matic and destruction just prior to prophase I of spermatogenesis. Later spermatogenesis is the substitution of a simple mitotic division for the meiosis. In testis, germ cells develop into more than 2000 cysts. Each cyst contains 16 primary spermatocytes and later gives rise to 32 sperms. For the cyst as a whole, 16 of 32 sperms would have grown clockwise and 16 counter-clockwise. Then the appearance of the cyst is from a ball to a ring and next takes on the appearance of a skein. The skeins elongate until they reach the entire length of the testis. In the final stage of elongation, the loops at the ends of the skein straighten to reveal the two subunits, each with 16 sperms. Finally, each subunit is transferred to a fully formed bundle of sperms. The sperms of the Chinese white wax scale are arranged in sperm bundles, usually 16 sperms per bundle. The total number of sperms of a male is 150 thousand or so from the cross section of testis.
