More Thoughts on the Relationship Between the Party in Power and the Masses

共产党执政之后 ,能否保持与广大人民群众的血肉联系 ,是关系到执政的共产党能否立于不败之地的根本性问题 ,同时又是一个至今尚未解决的历史性难题。在中国革命过程中 ,共产党与人民群众建立了亲如鱼水的密切联系。随着中国社会在 2 0世纪 80年代后的巨大变革 ,党群关系面临着前所未有的挑战 ,理想与现实的差距 ,需要共产党人从当今中国政治、经济、文化诸方面的状况出发 。

After the Communist Party holds power,whether it can maintain its flesh-and-blood ties with the masses is a fundamental question of whether it can put itself in an invincible position.This is also a difficult and historic problem that has not been solved so far.In the course of the Chinese revolution,the Communist Party of China (CPC) has established with the masses the ties as inseparable as fish and water.But after the Party held power,there has been a tendency in the Party to be divorced from the masses.With the great changes that have taken place in the Chinese society since the 1980s,the relationship between the Party and the masses have been faced with unprecedented challenges.The gap between ideals and reality requires the Communists to think about and search for,in light of the political,economic and cultural conditions in China taday,new approaches to tightening the close ties between the Party in power and the masses.
