Non-wood Fiber Sustainability for the Chinese Pulp and Paper Industry

中国是非木纤维制浆造纸大国。2001年,全国自制纸浆总产量为1180万t,其中83%为非木纸浆。为保证造纸工业的健康发展,必须在造纸纤维原料结构中,增加木浆和二次纤维的比重,因而非木纸浆的比重将会有所减少。尽管如此,到2010年非木纸浆产量仍将会有120万t左右的增长。实施清洁生产势在必行,这个问题对非木纤维制浆造纸尤为重要。

China is the greatest non-wood pulp producing country in the world.In2001,9.8million metric tons of non-wood pulps have been reported,accounting for around83%of the total domestic virgin pulp production.For the healthy growth of the industry,however,the share of non-wood fibers in the overall papermaking furnish will have to give way to wood pulp and secondary fiber.Yet,an additional2million metric tons of non-wood pulp production will be expected by the year2010.Cleaner Production will stay as a continual challenge to non-wood pulping and papermaking.Enforcement of environmental regulations will continue to exert great pressure on non-wood paper mills,especially those agricultural residue-based ones.
