书跋与题跋之辨

所谓跋文,是附于书籍、诗文、书画等载体之后,对其进行说明、考证或者品评的文字。在跋的家族中,有"书跋"这一种,是对前序的修改或补充,其实也就是后序。而题跋是由"读书题记"和"收藏署名"衍生而成的近似文体。书跋和题跋,体制殊别,各成一式。前者是结集之后,出版之前,作者自作或请人所作。后者是著述在流传过程中的读者所为。前者是一种传播行为,具有明确的潜在读者。后者是一种个人化写作行为,显示出了强烈的"私人"特点。前者的载体较为有限,且关系比较紧密。而题跋的载体范围极大,又可率性而为。
