Marriage Customs and the Women’s Social Status in the Book of Songs

本文选取《诗经》婚恋诗中的婚俗作为研究对象,通过对婚俗的分析来窥探《诗经》时代女性的社会地位,发现她们虽仍保有部分的婚恋自由,但礼法制度和人口繁殖的需要使其逐步沦为社会的附庸和生育工具。

This paper selets the love poems in the Book of Songs as the research object. Through the analysis of the marriage customs to explore the women’s social status in the Book of Songs, we find that women in that era still partly keep some freedom in marriage,but the etiquette system and polpulation reproduction makes the women become the social dependency and reproduction tool.
