On the Holistic View of Structuralism

结构主义是现代西方思想界的具有重大影响的社会思潮之一,不仅在人文社科领域有着广泛的影响,甚而在经济、政治等方面也有所涉及。结构主义强调事物的内部各要素之间的联系,以及各要素与整体结构间的深层关系,而不同于关注社会、历史、环境等研究的方法。整体观作为结构主义的基本特征之一,是结构主义者们关注的焦点,他们认为整体及要素间的关系是研究事物本质的唯一途径,对于结构主义的整体观的探讨则就十分必要。

Structuralism is one of the most important social trends in modern western thought,not only in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences,but also in economic,political and so on. Structuralism emphasizes the relationship between the elements and the elements of the interior,the deep relationship between the elements and the whole structure. The research methods of structuralism are different from the research that centered on society, history and environment. As one of the basic characteristics of structuralism,the holistic view is the focus of the structuralists. They think that the relationship between the whole and the elements is the only way to study the nature of things. Thus it is necessary to study the holistic view of structuralism.
