清晚期武英殿修书处“修书”与“非修书”职能的消长——基于清宫档案的考察

On the Growth and Decline of the ‘Compilation' and ‘Non-compilation' Functions of the Compiling Office of Wuyingdian Pressin the Late Qing Dynasty:Based on a Survey of the Archives of the Qing Court

清晚期即咸丰至宣统的五十年中,随着清政府统治衰微和国势衰落,内府书籍的出版早已每况愈下,出版品种大大减少。然而作为内府出版机构的代表,武英殿修书处仍然正常运行,直至宣统末年停止出版工作。本文依据清宫修书处档案,对清晚期修书处的具体职掌类比分析,并对其经费及运行状况进行纵向考察,勾勒此时期修书处"修书"与"非修书"职掌此消彼长的发展轮廓。

In the last fifty years of the late Qing Dynasty(from Emperor Xianfeng 1850-1861 to Emperor Xuantong 1908-1912),as the Qing government was weakening and declining,the publishing of Qing Court books had decreased long before and so did the variety of publications.Being a leader of the publishing organizations of the Qing Court,however,the Compiling Office of Wuyingdian Press was running normally until the last years of Xuantong period.Based on the archives about the compiling office of the Qing Court,this paper conducted an analogical analysis of the functions of the compiling office in the late Qing Dynasty,investigated its expenditure and operation,and outlined the growth and decline of the 'compilation'and 'non-compilation'functions of the compiling office of that time.
