曾国藩重刻《船山遗书》与官书局的出现

Republication of Posthumous Essays of Chuanshan by Zeng Guofan and Establishment of the Official Publishing House

《船山遗书》是王夫之的浩繁巨著,1862年起,曾国藩对其重刻。曾氏刻书主要有四个原因:一是个人方面曾国藩深受王夫之思想的教化与熏陶;二是曾国藩与道光版本《船山遗书》的编校人员有密切关系;三是曾国藩位高权重,具有调动人财物的能力;四是满足社会的文化需求。曾国藩重刻《船山遗书》历时七年,在重刻的过程中,曾氏创建了金陵书局。从金陵书局的创办宗旨与经费公出来看,金陵书局具有明显的官办性质,从而成为晚清首个官书局,曾国藩也因此成为晚清官书局实质意义上的首创者。

Since 1862,Zeng Guofan has been republishing the Posthumous Essays of Chuanshan,a vast collection of Wang Fuzhi's works. He did so for four reasons. First,Zeng has been personally enlightened and deeply influenced by the teachings of Wang Fuzhi. Second,Zeng had a close relationship with the publication staff who had took part in the complication of the Daoguang edition of this book. Third,Zeng,as a powerful high-ranking official,had the capability to raise funds and mobilize human resource as needed. Fourth,the republication can meet people's cultural needs after the war. During the seven-year-process of republication,Zeng set up the Jinling Press. According to the principle of its establishment and its expenditure supported by the government,Jinling Press was operated by the government and therefore became the first official publishing house in Late-Qing Dynasty. Zeng Guofan,as the spiritual leader of Jinling Press,thus became the creator of the official press.
