西方书籍史视角下中国出版史的差异——以清代官修类书《古今图书集成》为聚焦点

Differences in Chinese Publishing History from the Perspectives of Western History of Book——A Focus on the Collection of Ancient and Modern Books Compiled in Qing Dynasty

西方书籍史的研究视角,对中国出版史的研究颇有启发。一是置于世界书籍史(包括出版史)的长时段中进行比较。二是借鉴多学科的、跨文化的研究方法。三是以具体书籍为案例的出版传播及阅读史考察。本文以中国清代官修的大型类书《古今图书集成》为聚焦点,凸显其在历史时段、印刷技术、书籍类型、运作模式、文本形态等方面的特征,这是西方学者所关注的中国出版史上的差异现象,为其比较研究提供了参照或矫正的例证。

The research perspectives of western history of book have lots of implications for research on Chinese publishing history.First,the history of book(including the publishing history)provides a long timeframe for comparison;second,the multidisciplinary and cross-cultural research methodology can be drawn on as reference;third,case study on specific books is done review the history of publishing communication and reading.The paper,studying the Collection of Ancient and Modern Books,a voluminous book by category that was compiled officially in the Qing dynasty of China,highlights the book’s characteristics in such aspects as historical period,printing technology,book type,operational model,and textual form.This different phenomenon in Chinese publishing history is concerned by western scholars,and provides a reference or a corrective example for their comparative studies.
