On the Editing and Publishing of the Complete Works of Zhang Taiyan

上海人民出版社整理出版《章太炎全集》,始于二十世纪七十年代末,重新启动于2012年,完成于2017年,前后历经近四十年。本文梳理《章太炎全集》整理出版工作的曲折过程,对新版的编辑体例、对新材料的发现与使用及编辑工作中的缺憾等情况进行了介绍。

It takes the Shanghai People's Publishing House almost forty years to finish publishing the Complete Works of Zhang Taiyan. Specifically,the endeavor commenced in late1970 s,re-launched in 2012,and completed in 2017. The paper collates the twists and turns of editing and publishing of the Complete Works of Zhang Taiyan. It also makes an introduction to the editing style of the updated version,the discovery and use of new documents,and problems during editing.
