Objective To observe the effect of modified posterolateral lateral approach supporting plate in the treatment of posterior Pilon fracture. Methods 64 patients with posterior Pilon fracture admitted to Lingcheng District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Dezhou from January 2016 to April2018 were selected and randomly divided into observation group and control group with 32 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with modified posterolateral lateral approach supporting plate, while the control group was treated with traditional posterolateral lateral approach supporting plate. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results There was no significant difference in operation time and hospitalization time between the two groups(P>0.05).The healing time of fracture in the observation group was lower than that in the con trol group, and the anatomical reduction rate of fracture and the excellent and good rate of ankle joint function were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of posterolateral Polin fracture, the application of modified posterolateral lateral approach supporting plate can effectively improve the treatment effect, shorten the healing time of fracture, improve the anatomical reduction rate of fracture, and help to maximize the recovery of ankle function.
