The Christian traditions that have long predominated the West culturally specify a strict moral boundary between holiness and evil. With emergence of modernity, however, this boundary is being encroached, culminating in Nietzsche s slogan of 'God is dead'. Since God is dead, the holy moral court no longer exists, which results in value nihilism. As ' everything is allowable' ensues from ' everything is nihilist' , the wide spread of nihilist values will inevitably breed or encourage a style of existence characterized by transgression and indulgence.
