英汉学术期刊中实验性论文研究方法部分的体裁结构对比研究

Contrastive genre analysis of English and Chinese research paper methods in papers on experiments

方法部分是实验性论文的关键。本文运用Swales(1981,1990)体裁分析法分析了从中外核心期刊中医学与应用语言学领域分别选取的汉英实验性论文各15篇,共计60篇。结果表明:(1)医学和语言学论文方法部分包含四个相同的语步,即介绍研究目的、问题或假设;介绍研究对象;介绍实验过程;介绍数据分析。(2)同一领域中,英汉论文方法部分的体裁结构总体上是一致的,但在不同的语言环境中,为确保研究的可信度,作者撰写方法部分的侧重点不一致。(3)不同领域中用同一语言(汉语或英语)撰写的方法部分包含相同的语步,但学科间的差异致使每个语步和步骤出现的频率不同。通过对比分析学术论文方法部分的体裁结构,本研究对体裁分析研究和学术写作教学都有重要意义。

Method is the key part of an experimental paper.Using Swales’(1981,1990)genre analysis theory in this study,we analyzed the methods in a total of 60 experimental articles,including 15 articles respectively from four aspects:international medical and applied linguistic core journals,and domestic medical and applied linguistic core journals.The results showed that(1)there are four common moves in the medical and linguistic research article methods,i.e.purposes,questions or hypotheses;subjects;experimental process;data analysis;(2)the research article methods of the same field share a similar genre structure,but the authors in different language communities have different focuses in the research article methods to make the research convincible;(3)regardless of the field to which the paper belongs,the moves in the research article methods written in the same language(Chinese or English)are common,but the usage frequency of the steps and moves are different.By conducting a comparative analysis of the genre structure of research article methods,the results would be beneficial both to genre analysis and the teaching of academic writing.
