国际学术界ESP研究历史与现状:《国际专门用途英语》期刊论文分析

A survey report on the publications of English for Specific Purposes:An International Journal

近年来,我国越来越多的学者开始关注和研究专门用途英语教学的理论和实践。为了使国内研究者了解专门用途英语研究的国际现状与趋势,本研究选择了全球专门用途英语领域最权威的学术期刊《国际专门用途英语》(English for Specific Purposes:An International Journal),对其所刊出的文章进行研究分析。通过阅读《国际专门用途英语》从1980年创刊至今共计29卷97期的992篇文章,对它们进行分类、索引和统计,并对最终数据从期刊概况、论文和书评三个方面进行分析对比,从而阐述国际专门用途英语领域的研究动态和发展方向。

There has been in recent years a growing interest of Chinese scholars in the practice and research on English for Specific Purposes(ESP).This survey was carried out in an attempt to better inform and navigate Chinese researchers in their research on ESP in the international context.English for Specific Purposes:An International Journal,created by American University in 1980,and presently jointly published by the aforementioned university and Elsevier Ltd.,is the flagship journal in the area of ESP research,and was chosen for this survey.A total number of 29 volumes,97 issues and 992 papers were reviewed,indexed,and sorted in a statistical approach.The international research dynamics in the area of ESP were thus mirrored in the analyses of the collected data from three aspects,namely,a holistic review of the journal,a review of the academic papers,and a review of the book reviews.
