摘要
本文分析了ESP(English for Specific Purposes)的专业性类别及其具有的特定性性质。由于ESP的专业特点各异,其专业化程度也大不相同,由此提出了ESP的专业特性层次与应用需求的说法,对ESP工科类专业的共性领域特征作了研究,并据此设计研发了一套专业化大学英语课程内容体系,从而使工科类专业的大学英语课程面向ESP的改革更趋操作性和现实性。
The development orientation of College English curriculum provokes a heated discussion on whether to take ELT approach or ESP approach.This paper tries to conduct an analysis on the category of ESP and its specificity.Based on its characteristics,varied subject matters and the degree of technicality,the paper suggests a theory of Levels of Technicality and the need for application in ESP.The researchers have specifically studied the common area of EST.On these grounds,the researcher designs a system of the technical-oriented content of College English curriculum,so that the ESP approach could be realistic and practical in application.
