Authenticity is a primary factor contributing to the validity of LSP testing.The second issue of Language Testing in 2016, under the title of Authenticity in LSP Testing, was devoted to a discussion of the authenticity of OET oral testing in regard of its tasks, assessment cr i teria, score interpretation and use. This review consists of a synopsis of the research questions, methodologies and major findings reported in the articles, and a discussion of their implications for LSP testing practice and research.
