美国警察的价值观教育探析

在美国的教育体系中没有专门的思想政治教育课,但美国历史课和社会承载着美国价值观的教育任务。因此,我们要探讨美国警察的价值观教育状况、价值观教育的核心思想、开展价值观教育的基本原则以及是如何开展价值观教育的。美国警察每隔一段时间需要参加文化输入性的教育培训,虽然单靠价值观教育不会提高警察在社会中的信任度,也不会终止警察滥用权力和不当行为,但是至少是改善美国警察面貌的一个重要组成部分。同时,研究发现美国的警察价值观和价值观教育是保持美国政府合法性的重要组成部分。

There is no special ideological and political education in American education system,but American history and society bear the educational task of American values.Therefore,we should discuss the value education status of American police,the core idea of the value education,the basic principles of the value education,and the ways to carry out the value education.American police need to attend culturally imported educational training at regular intervals,although value education alone does not increase police trust in society and does not end police abuse of power and misconduct,it is at least an important part of improving the image of American police.Meanwhile,studies show that police values and value education in America is an important part of maintaining the legitimacy of the United States government.
