The First College Entrance Exam in the History of China

本文梳理了1952年中国建立全国高等学校统一招生考试的历史,从报考、考试、录取三个主要环节的具体步骤,回顾中国历史上的第一次高考过程。高考制度的建立使1952年成为中国高等教育新旧招生制度的分水岭,开辟了中国高校招生考试史的新纪元,它是今天高考制度的起始,已经形成了高考制度的基本框架。1952年建立高考制度是中国教育史上的一个重要创造,也是中国历史上的一件大事,从此开启了中国的高考时代,在中国高校招生考试史上具有开创之功。

This paper reviewed the history of the unified national college entrance exam,which was established in 1952 from three consecutive steps of registration,exam and enrollment.The establishment of the college entrance exam is considered a dividing-line between the new and the old college admission system in China,which also created a new epoch in the history of college exam and admission.It’s a starting point in today’s college entrance exam system,and shaped the fundamental framework of the system.
