A New Mini-watermelon F_1 Hybrid—‘Qiongli'

琼丽是以优良自交系MN-123为母本,以FR-59-1为父本配制而成的小型西瓜一代杂种。早熟,果实发育期28 d(天),在海南全生育期冬播72~78 d(天),夏播60~63 d(天);易坐果,果实短椭圆形,果形指数1.27;果皮绿色覆墨绿色细齿条带,果皮薄且较韧,皮厚0.5 cm;果肉黄色,肉质脆,有清香味,口感极佳,中心可溶性固形物含量12.0%~12.5%,边部9%~10%;单瓜质量2.0~2.5 kg,每667 m2产量3 000 kg左右。适于保护地栽培,也可露地栽培。

‘ Qiongli'is a new mini-watermelon F1 hybrid bred by crossing inbred line MN-123 as female parent and FR-59-1 as male parent.It is of early maturity.Its fruit development period is 28 days.The whole growing period is 72-78 days in winter sowing and 60-63 days in summer sowing at Hainan island.This variety is easy to set fruit.Its fruit is of oval shape,and the fruit index is 1.27.The fruit has green rind with dark green stripes.The fruit rind is thin with 0.5 cm thickness and rather tough.Its flesh is yellow in color,crispy and scent with excellent flavour.The soluble solid content is 12.0%-12.5% in flesh core area,and 9%-10% in edge area.The single fruit weight is 2.0-2.5 kg.Its average yield is about 45.0 t·hm-2.It can be cultivated in protected or open fields.
