系统功能语言学视角下的图文关系研究述评

A Review of the Studies of Image-Language Relations in Multimodal Discourses from the Perspective of SystemicFunctional Linguistics

图文关系在多模态语篇中发挥着非常重要的作用,学者们从系统功能语言学的视角对图文关系进行了大量研究。本文梳理了20世纪90年代以来此视角下的图文关系研究:(1)概念功能角度(及物性和逻辑语义关系等方面);(2)人际功能角度(互动、态度及逻辑语义关系等);(3)语篇功能角度(衔接和信息结构等)。在梳理成果的基础上,本文就如何进一步推进三大元功能角度的图文关系研究提出了一些思路,并建议学界把图文关系研究扩延至模态间关系研究。

Image-language relations play important roles in multimodal discourses.Scholars have conducted many researches into them from the perspective of systemic-functional linguistics.This paper summarizes the studies which have been conducted from the 1990s:scholars have studied the relations from the perspectives of ideational metafunction,interpersonal metafunction and textual metafunction.To be specific,the studies have been conducted from the perspectives of transitivity,logico-semantic relations,interaction,attitude,cohesion and information structure.On the basis of summarization,this paper puts forward suggestions for further studies from the perspective of three metafunctions.Besides,this paper suggests that scholars expand the research focus from image-language relations to intermodal relations.
