Tangzha town has a very important status in modern urban development of Nantong city.As the earliest modern town and industrial zone in the city,Tangzha provided a strong financial support to the city's construction,playing a crucial role in its urban development.It is significant,for the construction of harmonious society,to preserve the town' s industrial heritage during the process of World Heritage application.
