Strengthening the Party by Improving Quality: Significance, Principles and Practical Requirements

党的十九大报告提出"毫不动摇把党建设得更加坚强有力""不断提高党的建设质量"等重大命题,提高质量成为实现强党目标的根本途径。质量强党是无产阶级政党先锋队性质的必然要求,是引领经济社会实现高质量发展的现实要求,是世界最大政党不断破解世界最难课题的迫切需要。推进质量强党应坚持目标性、规范性、规律性、系统性和创新性等原则,根据新时代党的建设总要求明确提高党建质量的主要内容和努力方向,并解决具体实施中涉及的相关问题。

The political report to the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China puts forward such important propositions as 'unwaveringly make the Party even stronger' and 'continue to improve the quality of Party building'. Improving quality has become the fundamental way to achieve the goal of strengthening the Party. Strengthening the Party by improving quality is the inevitable requirement of its vanguard nature as a proletarian party, the realistic requirement of leading the economy and society to achieve high-quality development, and the urgent need to constantly crack the world’s most difficult issues as the world’s largest political party. To strengthen the party by improving quality, we should adhere to the principles of goal-setting, norm-developing, rule-following, systematization and innovation, clarify its main contents and pursuit in accordance with the general requirements of Party building for the new era, and solve possibly emerging problems in its practical implementation.
