The medical institutions are currently facing with pressure of industry role changing and development strategy adjusting. So it's very important to obtain competition advantage on resource and strategy. This paper introduces the 'national competitive advantage theory' proposed by the Harvard business school professor Michael porter, and mainly analyzes its enlightenment and value to medical institutions for providing reference on how to obtain competitive advantage in the competition.
