It is presented in the article acupunctureneedling at Zu Sanli for 17 patients of stomach-ache.The study revealed the remarkable rising of the am-plitude of gastric slow potential resulted from the"arrival of Qi."The amplitude during the acupun-cture manipulation was notably different from thatof pre-post acupuncture treatment,however the fre-quency remained unchanged.When the intensity andradiating direction of needling sensation were differ-ent,they produced different reaction on the slowpotential of stomach.This study has provided experi-mental evidance for the essence of the"arrival ofQi"in acupuncture.
