20世纪50~60年代,根据国家建设的需要,中国向苏联及东欧社会主义国家派遣了多批留学生,其中留学苏联的7974人,以学习理工科为主,还有一部分学习经济学、军事学、音乐、美术和戏剧等,回国后在不同领域做出了贡献,涌现出了谷超豪、王梓坤、周光召、唐孝威、刘国光、董辅礽、吴祖强、李德伦、徐晓钟等著名专家。他们以其对国家和民族的贡献,谱写了中国留学生爱国报国的新的篇章。

In the 1950s and 1960s,to meet the needs of national construction,China sent groups of youth to study in the Soviet Union and the Eastern European socialist countries.There were 7974 students to the Soviet Union,and most of them majored in science,and others studied economics,military,music,art and opera.They made contributions in a variety of areas after they returned to China.Gu Chaohao,Wang Zikun,Zhou Guangzhao,Tang Xiaowei,Liu Guoguang,Dong Fureng,Wu Zuqiang,Li Delun and Xu Xiaozhong are among the remarkable specialists.They with their contributions to the nation wrote a new chapter of patriotism.
