Objective To explore the effect of early postoperative low frequency bladder therapy device toprevent urinary retention in patients. Methods From June 2015 to June 2018, 2680 surgical patients admitted toour department of general surgery were selected, follow the international alphabetical order, and divide them intotwo groups. 1340 patients in the control group received routine postoperative treatment, while 1340 patients in theexperimental group received low frequency bladder treatment on the basis of routine postoperative treatment. Thepostoperative condition, urination effect, initial urination time and hospitalization time of the two groups werecompared and analyzed. Results The residual urine volume of the experimental group was significantly lowerthan that of the control group(P<0.05);The time of indwelling catheter was significantly shorter than that of thecontrol group(P<0.05);The incidence of urinary retention(6.57%) was significantly lower than that of the controlgroup(28.51%)(P<0.05);The initial urination time and hospitalization time of patients with different types of surgerywere significantly shorter than the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion The use of low-frequency bladder therapyinstrument in the early postoperative period can effectively prevent urinary retention in patients, which can promotethe urinary patency of patients, shorten the time of initial urination, hospitalization time, and have significant clinicaleffects, which can be widely promoted.
