Objective To study the effect of minimally invasive surgery for simple appendicitis. Methods From September 2017 to September 2018, 88 patients with appendicitis in our hospital were randomLy selected, 44 patients in the control group(traditional open surgery) and 44 patients in the research group(minimally invasive small incision surgery), and the complications of the two groups were compared. Results The incidence of complications in the study group was 6.8%, lower than 22.7% in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Minimally invasive small incision surgery for simple appendicitis can effectively reduce postoperative complications and has significant clinical value.
