Diabetes mellitus is a disease with hidden onset,easily missed diagnosis and complicated etiology and clinical manifestations.Among the people with diabetes,elderly diabetes patients are a special group.Due to the aging changes of the body,the basic metabolic rate and the ability to utilize glucose at all levels of tissues involved in the body’s activities will decrease in the process of aging.Combined with the research in this paper,it is found that besides the manifestations of various diseases caused by diabetes mellitus,elderly diabetes mellitus will also accompany the emergence of many serious complications.Therefore,according to the particularity of elderly diabetes mellitus,individualized and targeted treatment must be taken in combination with the specific physical conditions of patients in order to achieve good treatment.It help and improve the quality of life of elderly patients with diabetes mellitus,and due to the low body resistance of elderly patients and many of them are suffering from complications,so the treatment of elderly patients with diabetes needs special needs.It is necessary to conduct in-depth research and analysis.
