性别平等是当代世界妇女运动发展的核心问题。然而,从许多国家妇女运动发展状况观察,性别平等尚未获得彻底解决。这一问题不仅存在于发展中国家,而且也存在于发达国家。面对这种形势,世界各国尤其是美国的学者,不但对现存的政策问题进行了深刻分析,而且对各国政府应当采取何种行动也提出了不少颇有价值的倡议。就这些学者的真知灼见予以评述,具有重要的理论和实践价值。

Gender equality is the central problem of global women ’ s movement in the contemporary era . However , concerning the development of women ’ s movement in many countries , problems of gender equality haven ’ t been solved properly yet .Such problems not only exist in developing countries , but also in the devel-oped countries .Under this situation , many countries around the world , especially America , analyzed the ex-isting policies thoroughly and put forward various valuable suggestions about measures that governments should take.It is of great significance to introduce and evaluate these suggestions .
