论武术术语英译混乱对中华武术传播的不利影响

Adverse Effects of Confusions in English Translation of Wushu Terms on Diffusion of Chinese Wushu

伴随着中国武术国际化进程的不断推进,世界各国大量吸收中国武术的精髓,为中国武术的发展注入了新的活力,但如何准确地将武术知识推广到世界各地,使国外学习者正确理解掌握,从而促进武术的发展与交流,成为当今中华武术传播所面临的一个重要的国际化问题。语言是沟通的桥梁,所以,正确、规范的翻译对于弘扬传播中华武术至关重要。只有掌握武术翻译的规律与技法,正确地传播武术技巧与理论,武术的国际化推广才能够顺利发展下去。目前,对于武术的国际化、规范化传播,迫切需要加强翻译专业研究与指导。笔者建议,政府应加以重视,加大投入,积极组织人力、物力研究武术术语的英译工程,尽快制定规范统一的符合武术国际化传播的语言标准。

With the constant advance of the process of internationalization for China's wushu(martial arts),countries around the world have enormously absorbed the essence of Chinese wushu and infused new vitality to its development.However,it has become a significant issue for the internationalization how to accurately promote wushu knowledge to the world and let foreign learners understand and master it correctly,thereby facilitating the development and communication of wushu.Language is a bridge of communication;therefore,a proper and standard translation is of utmost importance to the promotion and diffusion of Chinese wushu.Only by mastering the regular patterns and techniques in translation of wushu terms and correctly spreading its skills and theories can the internationalization of wushu be developed successfully.At present,with regard to the internationalized and standardized diffusion of wushu,it is an urgent need to strengthen the professional research and guidance of translation.The author suggests that the government should attach great importance,increase input and actively organize manpower and material resources to research on the English translation project of wushu terms so as to make standard and integrated language criterions which conform to the internationalized communication of wushu as soon as possible.
