A Discussion on Origin,Content System,Characteristics and Development History of Li-Style Chaquan

查拳是流传全国影响很大的拳种,也是我国传统武术中的优秀拳种之一。其起源至今说法不一,虽然迄今为止还没有确凿的史料来佐证查拳的起源,可是查拳在明末清初时期,广泛盛传于山东省鲁西南和其他地区,并且已形成了李式、张式、杨式查拳三大流派,李式查拳是以李恩聚为代表。挖掘、整理、研究李式查拳,对我国明、清军旅武术、民间武术的发展演变及对查拳的起源研究,都具有重要的学术、时代价值。

Chaquan(Cha's boxing) is a popular boxing sort with a great influence nationwide,and is also one of the excellent boxing sorts in traditional Chinese wushu(martial arts).So far,there are different versions about its origin.Although no certain historical materials can provide any evidence to the origin of chaquan up till now,chaquan used to be widely spread in the southwestern part of Shandong Province and other areas at the end of the Ming Dynasty(1368-1644) and in the early Qing Dynasty(1644-1911),and has formed three main schools in chaquan,namely Li-style,Zhang-style and Yang-style,with Li-style chaquan being represented by Li Enju.Unearthing,sorting out and studying Li-style chaquanis of significant academic and time values in the development and evolution of military wushu in the Qing Dynasty and folk wushu as well as in the study on chaquan's origin.
