A Study on Career Transition of Retired Wushu Athletes in China

作为我国运动员的重要群体,武术专业运动员为我国体育事业的发展做出了很大贡献。但武术专业运动员退役后的职业转换难问题,开始逐步制约武术事业的发展。人们开始关注专业运动员的个人发展问题,这众多问题之中,武术专业运动员的文化教育问题显得尤为突出。武术专业运动员文化素质水平的高低,不仅影响运动技术水平的提高,也关系到运动员退役自身的再就业问题,更关系到优秀运动队的建设和对社会主义建设者及接班人的培养。

As an important group among Chinese athletes, professional wushu(martial arts) athletes have made a great contribution to the development of the sports undertaking in China. However, the difficult problem of career transition after the retirement of professional wushu athletes has begun to restrict the development of wushu cause gradually. People start to pay close attention to the issue of professional wushu athletes' individual development. Among numerous issues, the problem of their cultural education seems to be especially acute. The culture quality level of professional wushu athletes not only influences the improvement of their athletic level, but also relates to their own re-employment matter after their retirement, and even relates to the construction of excellent sports teams and the cultivation of socialist builders and successors.
