Current Education Value of Wushu in Colleges and Universities

高校当今武术教学对促进素质教育中所提倡的让每个学生的德、智、体、美等方面素质获得和谐发展有着非常重要的作用。所以,一定要充分的利用当今武术的教育功能来培养高校学生的综合能力,使其在今后走上自己的工作岗位后,能更好地发扬当今武术的教育功能,推动学校当今武术的开展,弘扬中国传统文化,进而为提高青少年的健康水平做出贡献。所以,我们不能单纯地把当今武术看作是一种外部的技击技术,它还具有培养竞争意识、道德修养、审美能力、意志品质以及提高身体素质与学习质量等良好的教育功能。

Currently, wushu(martial arts) teaching in colleges and universities plays a very important role in the advocated promotion of quality education by letting every student obtain harmonious development morally, intellectually, physically and aesthetically in their quality. Therefore, we must give full play to wushu's educational function to cultivate the comprehensive ability of college students and help them better carry on contemporary wushu's educational function after they go to work, push forward wushu development in schools and universities and carry forward traditional Chinese culture, thereby making a contribution to the enhancement of juveniles' health level. Therefore, we cannot simply regard wushu as a skill of attack and defence, as it has a good educational function of cultivating the sense of competitiveness, moral heightening, aesthetic judgment and volitional quality as well as improving physical quality and learning quality.
