A Cultural Exploration of the “Four-Image Rhymes”, an Esoterica of Catch

本文运用文献分析法、专家访谈法,并结合自身的实践体会,剖析擒拿秘籍《九重天》中《四象诀》的破解;深入解读《四象诀》的内容细节;彰显《四象诀》在擒拿技理中的显著价值。

By applying literature analysis and expert interview methods while combining the authors' own practice and experience, this paper analyzes the authors' understanding of the 'Four-Image Rhymes'(four images refer to the four animal images in traditional Chinese culture, namely black dragon, white tiger, rosefinch and tortoise, representing four directions of east, west, south and north respectively in ancient China) in the 'Nine-Layer Heaven', which is an esoterica of catch, and then deeply interprets the contents and details in the 'Four-Image Rhymes' so as to manifest the significant value of the 'Four-Image Rhymes' in the catch techniques and theories.
