The “Circle” Culture of Taijiquan

本文采用文献资料法和综合分析法,阐述了关于圆的认识、太极图、太极图与太极拳起源的关联性,以及圆的意识在太极拳习练、技击和处世中的作用,以期对习练者在太极拳练习和应用中有更深刻地认识和帮助。

With the purpose of helping taijiquan(tai chi chuan, a kind of traditional Chinese shadow boxing) practitioners to have a deeper understanding of the application of taijiquan in their training, this paper, through literature review and comprehensive analysis, expounds the understanding of 'circle' culture in taijiquan, yin-yang symbol, its connection with the origin of taijiquan and the function of the 'circle' awareness in taijiquan training, competition as well as the construction of practitioners' life principles.
