The Continuous Study of the History of Central Guoshu Institute

九十年前的中央国术馆,开启了政府管理武术事宜的先河,因而也构成了中国近代武术史上一个不可或缺的重要组成。上世纪八十年代以来,有关中央国术馆的组织结构、活动情况及历史评价等,时有著述问世,这对人们了解、认识民国时期这一国家层面的武术机构自有其意义,但也不得不看到其中不少相关记述语焉不详,甚至不乏抵牾、错谬。文章依据近时查阅到的文献记述、档案史料以及社会调查,就中央国术馆的缘起、筹办与成立等若干史实予以补正廓清,旨在使中央国术馆的历史画卷更为完整、清晰。

the Central Guoshu Institute, which was founded nighty years ago, was the precedent that government managed wushu (martial arts), thus it is an essential part in modern wushu history. From the 1980s, there are always literatures concerning the institute’s organization, event and historical reviews, which can help readers understand the significance of national wushu institute in the Republic of China. At the same time, some wordings inside are not clear and even contain mistakes. Through literature review, after checking the historical document and social investigation, this paper gives a continuous study on the origin, preparation and establishment of Central Guoshu Institute, aiming at giving it a complete and clear historical development path.
