丁子成与太极梅花螳螂拳

Ding Zicheng and Taiji Plum Blossom Mantis Boxing

著名六合螳螂拳大家丁子成也精通太极梅花螳螂拳。他的太极梅花螳螂拳是与著名太极梅花螳螂拳大家曹作厚换艺所得。丁子成也让他的弟子们跟曹作厚学习了太极梅花螳螂拳。他和曹作厚共同培养了一批兼习六合和太极梅花两种螳螂拳的传人。丁子成创办的黄县国术馆是他们研习和传播六合螳螂拳和太极梅花螳螂拳的主要场所。同时,黄县国术馆也是传播其他优秀拳种的重要阵地。

Ding Zicheng, the famous Six Harmonies Mantis Boxing master, was also proficient in Taiji Plum Blossom Mantis Boxing. Ding Zicheng, as well as his disciples, learned the latter boxing style from the renowned Taiji Plum Blossom Mantis Boxing Master Cao Zuohou, who also learned Six Harmonies Mantis Boxing from Master Ding in the meantime. These two masters jointly cultivated inheritors who were both skillful in Six Harmonies and Taiji Plum Blossom Mantis Boxing. The Martial Arts Society of Huang County, founded by Ding Zicheng, was the main place to study and disseminate these two boxing styles while at the same time it is also an essential place for other excellent boxings’ promotion.
