By the ancient street at Qinghu Town of Jiangshan City,there lives a master craftsman proficient in tying coir brooms.A coir broom seems simple,but requires sophisticated technology.It has to go through over twenty manufacturing processes before its completion,so a very skilful worker can make at most three brooms a day.In consequence, with the ever increasing supply of factory-made plastic brooms,coir brooms have gradually retreated from markets.Moreover,nowadays the youngsters are not willing to enter the profession;therefore in a few years the craft may meet with the same ending as that of coir raincoat and no longer exist in the world.
