阔别家乡新疆已近20年,那里的山山水水在我的梦境中无数次地出现过,回想起来最让我难忘的是牧民转场那种壮观的场景。今年趁着假期,我又一次回到了生我养我的新疆。飞机降落的第二天下午,我就急不可待地乘上了前往北疆的火车,凌晨到达了阿勒泰地区的北屯镇。走出火车站时。

Returning to his hometown Xinjiang,the author witnessed the magnificent sight of herdsmen’s shift from one grazing ground to another.Herdsmen of Kazak nationality going in for animal husbandry live a nomadic life.They move about in search of pasture according to the change of seasons.Generally speaking,when the first snow comes,weather turns cold and grass becomes scarce,herdsmen started to shift pastures in accordance with traditional grazing habit.They set out to herd cattle,sheep,horses and other domestic animals and trudge tens to hundreds of kilometres,moving from autumn pasture to winter pasture.
