Encoffining Architects:The Career Choice of a Post-90s Group

"让已经冰冷的人重新焕发生机,给他永恒的美丽。"这是日本电影《入殓师》里的一句台词。看电影时,我想到过世的外婆,最后一刻,老人坚持要从医院回家,看着她的呼吸一点点弱下去,然后她的子女们给她擦干净身体,叫来的"土工"给她穿上衣服,外婆最后留在记忆里的脸是那么苍白,孱弱……每次想起,心也会疼。

"Making-up the dead people and give them eternal beauty." This is a line from Japanese movie "Departures". Recently,a job called encoffining architects and a center specializing in encoffining services has appeared in Jiaxing.The center,which is the first one in China mainland,has 22 encoffining architects and most of them are post-90s girls.Encoffining services are initially introduced from Japan to Taiwan where some changes were made according to local customs.However,the subsistence of this service is still difficult in China's Mainland.No matter how the job is appraised by the publicity, people still keep silent when learning about the fact that it’s the job that deals with dead people.But,considering their job as sacred,those post-90s believe people will gradually accept them and what they do for the passed.
