Peasant Workers

作为一位专职摄影家,汪建伟更多地把精力投入在工作上,他是几家杂志的图片总监,每天打交道的都是摄影作品。汪建伟话不多,似乎更多的语言表现在他的摄影作品中,他极具实验和探索精神,对摄影艺术的表现形式有谈不完的见解。在获得浙江省摄影金像奖之前,汪建伟便已是业内的得奖"专业户",并曾连续两届获得"杭州双年十佳摄影家"称号。汪建伟认为,当代摄影艺术不是在一种简单的、狭隘的问题上产生出来的。他深信在这个"图片时代"里,观者可以看到。

As a professional photographer,Wang Jianwei is not talkative and it seems he mostly expresses himself in his photographic works.As a man with pioneering and exploring spirits,he always has endless ideas on the manifestation of photographic arts.For him,the initial turning of lens to peasant workers is just driven by the instinct,and in the year 2000 or so,he,in the light of his own acuteness as a photographer,decided to take peasant workers as a special topic and has continued it for several years. "I am not seeking anything purposely and I will shoot everything I see which are stories around us.In electronic times,everyone is becoming a photographer and where will the former genuine photographers go? I think every photographer should know the limitation of their own artistic languages.Only by keeping passionate for life and caring about what is happening around us, can we leave beautiful stories for our times",said Wang Jianwei.
