Lunches Served for Old People in Panjiabang

2013年12月16日中午11点左右,大雨中,嘉兴市秀洲区新塍镇潘家浜村妇女主任叶丽丽,一手撑着雨伞,一手提着两个装有热腾腾饭菜的饭盒走在乡间的小路上。大风伴着雨水刮到叶丽丽的脸上,使得她整个脸上都沾满了雨水。担心雨天路滑,叶丽丽今天送饭特意选择了步行。11点30分之前。

There are 20 old people aged 70 to 90 in Pangjiabang Village,Xinteng Town,Xiuzhou District,Jiaxing City.Their children are busy with work or study every day,so it’s quite inconvenient for the old people to have lunch when they are at home alone.In order to settle this problem,the village has raised a fund and built a lunch delivery team for the old people;meanwhile,the village offers free lunch for the old people of low income,disabled and for those aged 90 and above.As for the old people aged 70 to 80,the village charges only two Yuan for the lunch.For this purpose,the village has set up a voluntary squad,which consists of all the administrative staff in the village,for delivering lunch from Monday to Friday regardless of the weather.
