“海岛艺术家”陈清波

Chen Qingbo,an Island Artist

有这样一位海岛艺人,他从小就对美术、书法有着特殊的爱好和禀赋,经过不断琢磨,他对石雕、木雕、农民画等都很精通,成为大家眼中的"艺术家"。他就是象山县高塘岛乡孝贤湾村的陈清波。陈清波今年已经70岁,但看起来并不显老,气色很好。"经常干自己喜欢做的事,就不会老。"陈清波笑着说。走进老陈的几间"创作室",可以看到大厅里摆满了正待雕琢或已经雕琢好的木雕作品。

Chen Qingbo is an island artist.From the childhood,he was fond of art and calligraphy.After constant pondering,he mastered the stone carving,the wood carving and the farmer painting,and became an artist in the eyes of many people.Though capable of superb skills,Chen Qingbo prefers to popularize the island culture and teach the children who love handicrafts voluntarily.In order to enrich mass culture,he makes use of his spare time to create many works for the exhibition in the community for free.The drawing gallery of fishing culture in Gaotang Island Village,created by Chen,is a good place of entertainment for the villagers.Gently stroking a root caring works,Chen Qingbo said with deep feelings:"Gaotang Island is my hometown,and it’s my duty" to carry forward the island culture."
