龙泉宝剑始于春秋晚期,距今已有2600多年的历史。虽然冷兵器时代已一去不复返,但龙泉宝剑的辉煌与荣耀,它的剑气剑魂,穿越千年,至今仍存,并以"坚韧锋利、刚柔并济、寒光逼人、纹饰巧致"四大特色而成为剑中之魁,闻名于世。沈新培大师——从稀里糊涂的入门学习者到如今的国家级龙泉宝剑锻制技艺代表性传承人,历经50多年的铸剑生涯,却依然深深热爱着这份古老的技艺。他对于"铸剑"的执著,让人肃然起敬。命中注定的铸剑师耳顺之年的沈新培,说话铿锵有力,而其身上浑然天成的爽朗气魄,也许正是铸剑师们特有的豪迈性格。
Longquan Sword,which dates back to late Spring and Autumn Period,has over 2600 years’ history so far.Master Shen Xinpei,from a rookie to a present national-level successor to the craft of Longquan Sword forging,still loves the ancient craft with a forging career of over 50 years,which makes people filled with esteem.Sixty-year-old Shen Xinpei shows naturally hearty spirit,which is just the unique character that a sword maker should possess.It’s difficult for Shen’s family to keep the forging skill intact from Shen Zhaoqing(Shen Xinpei’s grandgrandfather) to the present fifth head Shen Zhou(Shen Xinpei’s son). "Sword is the simplest and dullest but it bounds with profound culture." As for Shen Xinpei,forging a fine sword not only lies in the adept skills but also how to infuse Chinese culture with 5000 years’ history into the sword.
