紫砂,是土的艺术,火的升华……自古就有"南窑北陶"之称,其中的"南窑"就是指浙江长兴,而"北陶"则是指江苏宜兴。与宜兴紫砂相比,长兴紫砂的名声要小不少,甚至显得有些落寞。但或许正是这种落寞,使长兴的紫砂艺人们少了些浮躁与虚华,多了些耐心与思索,从而在探求紫砂艺术的道路上走得更踏实。董建民,作为浙江长兴紫砂制作艺术的领军人物,30多年来执著地践行着自己的艺术追求,不断引领紫砂艺术向新的高度迈进。

Red Porcelain is an art of soil as well as a sublimation of fire... "The Southern Kiln and the Northern Pottery" were well known around the country since ancient times,the former refers to the Changxing red porcelain while the later refers to the Yixing red porcelain.Compared with the Yixing red porcelain,the Changxing red porcelain seems to be less famous.However,the obsuration of the Changxing red porcelain enables handicraftsmen to explore the art of red porcelain with more patience and thoughts.Dong Jianmin,the leader of Changxing red porcelain craftmanship,never stops his artistic pursuit for 30 years,and has guilded the art of red porcelain to a new height.From the study of drawing templates to the establishment of red porcelain factory,Dong Jianmin,with bold innovation,strives to keep up with the time.He always emphasizes that only by creating the competitive products with his own hands could he keep his fame and inheritance of the red porcelain art.
