副总理在杭主持全国城建座谈会

Vice Premier Presides at the National Urban Construction Forum in Hangzhou

去年岁末,中共中央政治局常委、国务院副总理张高丽在杭州调研城市规划建设工作,主持召开全国城市规划建设工作座谈会。张高丽表示,党中央、国务院高度重视城市规划建设工作。习近平总书记指出,城镇建设水平不仅关系居民生活质量,而且也是城市生命力所在,强调一定要本着对历史、对人民高度负责的态度,切实提高城市建设水平。李克强总理也作了批示,提出了明确要求。做好城市规划建设工作,对于推动新型城镇化、有效治理"城市病"。

After inspecting Hangzhou’s urban planning and construction at the end of last year,Zhang Gaoli,member of the Politburo Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of China’s State Council,presided at the National Urban Planning and Construction Forum in Hangzhou.Zhang said that the Party Central Committee and the State Council attach great importance to urban planning and construction.Xi Jinping,General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee,once pointed out that urban construction is associated with the quality of living and is also the source of urban vitality,and he emphasized that urban construction must be advanced with a strong sense of responsibility for history and people.In addition,Premier Li Keqiang also proposed explicit requirements,saying that sound urban planning and construction is crucial to the advance of the new-type urbanization,the efficient treatment of "urban diseases",the healthy and sustainable development of society and economy,as well as the improvement of people’s living standard.Therefore,we must enhance our sense of responsibility and mission,think and work in accordance with the decisions as well as the arrangements made by the Party Central Committee and State Council.
